Fortunately, there have been a lot of technological progress that altered the cinema industry. Often there is a brand new and thrilling picture that sweeps audiences off of their feet. The eyes of today’s generation are privileged enough to have viewed such incredible spectacles. This can be achievable by aid from the green screen Hollywood process. Therefore this approach involves blending a couple of photos so they seem to be in one frame. Without it, movies nowadays would continue to contain unrealistic puppets and poorly drawn backdrops. Below are a few movies which were made possible through the green screen or “chroma key” procedure.

Star Wars. One of the first contemporary motion pictures which utilized chroma key technology was George Lucas’ “The Empire Strikes Back.” Astounding spaceship chases, interplanetary backgrounds, and interesting settings wouldn’t be achievable with out Chroma Key Technology. Imagine the Millennium Falcon focusing on a fake-looking backdrop. Visualize painted backgrounds instead of the splendid places the film depicted all over a galaxy far, far away. It absolutely doesn’t seem very appealing, does it? Fortunately, Chroma key technology ended up saving the day by generating the creation of Lucas’ imaginary universe feasible.

Titanic. Titanic is a colossal tear-jerker of a movie. Who wouldn’t weep for poor Jack and Rose? Who is able to forget the iconic “I’m the king of the world” scene? Who did not hold their breath when the condemned vessel snapped in 1 / 2 right after hitting the iceberg? This piece of motion picture magic wouldn’t be achievable without the green screen Hollywood technique. Without it, the love story may not be realistic. Very poor quality pictures and backgrounds will surely cause the Titanic to sink at the box office.

300. This film is really a genuine visual spectacle. 300 was shot completely on green screen! Leonidas and the Spartans would not end up inside a aesthetically magnificent ambiance if it weren’t for the magic of the Chroma Key Technique. The appearance and feel of the film wouldn’t be the same without the chroma key technique. Without it, the idea of 300 soldiers beating an army of ghoulish men would appear to be obvious stupidity instead of beauty.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Gollum is by far among the list of eeriest CGI creations, and his overall look in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy had been permitted with the Chroma Key. The creature’s realistic routines were shot through chroma key technology. Additionally, the splendor of the Shire along with other parts of the Lord of the Rings world will not developed by simply creating life sized models. That is where the green screen comes into play. It digitally created backdrops that had been put into the film for just a more realistic experience. This made the motion picture all the more precious.

There are so many other websites offering various forms of advice on how to use green screen but most of them are not very specific or precise. Be sure to check my own articles and reviews on Green Screen Hollywood and Green Screen Rentals, You can also reach me at 1-323-851-3825 or phillipguye@hotmail.com

Gina Carano put women’s MMA on the map, but Cris Cyborg Santos may have become the sports first dominant female champion by virtue of her overwhelming TKO victory in the main event of Saturdays STRIKEFORCE event. Cyborg simply was too physically strong and her punches too powerful for Carano, who fought valiantly before succumbing to a barrage of ground and pound punches at the end of the first round.

Before a near capacity crowd at San Jose’s HP Pavilion, Carano and Cyborg made history as the first women to headline a major US mixed martial arts event. Cyborg entered the cage first to a mostly negative reaction, stopping along the way to shadow box and throw kicks on the entrance ramp.

Despite the fight being scheduled for five rounds of five minutes each, the women set a frantic pace from the opening horn. Cyborgs size and strength advantage was apparent from the outset, as she landed an immediate flurry of punches before taking Carano to the canvas. Carano landed in top position, but quickly found herself in trouble as Cyborg worked for a kneebar and then a heel hook. Carano was able to extricate herself, and get to her feet but Cyborg took her back and immediately took her down again. Carano landed in top mount, however, and was able to score with some big punches from the top. Inexplicably, she backed off and let Cyborg get to her feet instead of pressing what may have been her best opportunity to win the fight.

Carano was able to land a couple of effective jabs on the ensuing standup exchange, but Cyborg caught a body kick attempt and quickly closed the distance again. Cyborg once again took her opponent to the mat and after an unsuccessful armbar attempt mounted Carano and began a brutal punching assault that eventually forced the stoppage.

Despite Cyborgs triumph the most dominating performance of the evening belonged to former DREAM middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi. In his first fight at 205, Mousasi destroyed STRIKEFORCE light heavyweight champion Renato Babalu Sobral via TKO at the 1:00 mark of the first round. Mousasis victory wasnt a shocking outcome, but the utter ease with which he handled a tough, experienced and well rounded opponent in Sobral was stunning and evoked comparisons to recently signed heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko. Making Mousasis triumph all the more incredible is that at 24 years of age hes only going to get better.

Earlier in a card full of decisive finishes, Gilbert Melendez became STRIKEFORCE interim lightweight champion with a third round TKO victory over the double tough Mitsuhiro Ishida. Though Melendez dominated the fight, Ishida gained the respect of fans with his toughness and heart. Melendez will now face Josh Thompson to unify the belts once Thompson is medically cleared to resume fighting.

The retirement and un-retirement of Brett Favre is becoming an annual rite of the NFL preseason, and this year is no different. A few months after retiring from football after playing last season with the New York Jets, The Gunslinger is back in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, who’ll pay Favre $12 million bucks if he’s on the opening day roster.

Favre made his announcement at a Tuesday press conference:

“I felt I did everything I possibly could do to get where I need to be. You’re 39, your arm may not feel like it did at 21. But the pieces are in place that you don’t have to do that much and I agree with that. If they were willing to take that chance, I was, too. I don’t know how I’ll feel a year from now, five years from now, but I didn’t want to say what if.

The Vikings will pay Favre $12 million this season and $13 million next season. If his level of play isn’t up to par, or should he get injured in training camp the Vikings are still on the hook for $6 million.

Favres mother was even asked for her thoughts on the matter:

“I have mixed emotions, but I have always loved to watch him play. This time, however, I thought he would stay retired and stay home. I guess he could not do it. They Minnesota seem to have a good team in place, and he liked that. I guess I need to get a Vikings jersey now.”

After consulting with noted sports physician James Andrews, he had a change of heart despite suffering a slight rotator cuff tear last season:

“I just kept thinking I didn’t want to go through what I did last year. Between three weeks ago and the phone conversation yesterday [with Vikings coach Brad Childress], I talked to Dr. [James] Andrews and he assured me it wouldn’t be an issue. I felt if everyone was going to take that chance, I was to. As friends and family has told me, you never know until you take the chance,”

Favre said that he’s optimistic that the Vikings can make a deep run in the NFL playoffs:

“I felt from my standpoint that I could offer some experience and leadership, and I have to admit through this whole process after I said no three weeks ago, sometimes I was OK with it, and other times I said. I can really help this team.”

Favre will wear his iconic #4, thanks to Vikings fourth string QB Josh David Booty who graciously gave up the number. Booty will wear #9. Viking QBs Sage Rosenfels and Tarvaris Jackson who were competing for the starting job will now be relegated to backup status.

Generational Equity Complaints

Why has healthcare, unemployment bennefits, retirement systems funding, all become such a topic of complaints with voters and why has it become so sour so quickly in the United States. It relates back to theory on generational equity. In order to make my point, I’ve gathered information from Stephen H. Gorin’s essay, Generational Equity and Privatization: Myth and Reality, and from The Social Security Network, a “resource for information and research on the Social Security program and the debate about its future.”

The original source of generational equity complaints are believed to come from Greg Anrig and Bernard Wasow of The Century Foundation list 12 reasons against privatization on the social security network’s site, I have pulled a few generational equity complaints that I found to be the most interesting .

(a) Benefits are at risk. With workers contributing to IRAs, retirement benefits could be reduced as much as 30 percent.

(b) Creating private accounts would make Social Security’s financing problem worse. The rates of what is needed versus what will be available with time considerations for social security would mean that the private sector would have to lend to the government almost immediately in order to be able to fund retirees. Trust funds would be dissolved very soon.

(c) It isn’t working in Chile or the United Kingdom. In Chile and the United Kingdom, where privatization has been enacted, it has not worked. Predictions on investment accounts didn’t pan out as expected, so 41% of Chileans that are of age are still working.

In the United Kingdom, which began encouraging workers to divert payroll taxes to personal investment accounts in 1978, many citizens were victimized by poor investment choices as well as unscrupulous brokers. The national government was left with substantial new administrative expenses, lost tax revenues, and responsibilities to bail out some failed private pension plans. Indeed, the problems were so wide-ranging that even the most enthusiastic supporters of private accounts now say that the United Kingdom simply did not do it right (Social Security Network). Is there a right way to do this?

(d) Administration costs will increase without cause. With the increase of administrative costs, the outstanding sums would have to be paid for somehow. This is what the people fear and why they are complaining. This could lead to the reduction of benefits, retirement age raise or the increase of the payroll tax.

(e) Survivors and those with disabilities are at risk. Privatization proposals do not take them into consideration. Their benefits are either cut drastically or there is no plan to raise the additional funds needed to keep up their benefits.

(f) What you receive will depend on the market. With the state of the market today, there is no reason to expound on this point.

(g) Young People would be worse off. Analyses were conducted by the Congressional Budget Office and a grouping of economists to investigate the difference between a plan that included privatization and one that did not. In all studies, they came to the conclusion that taxpayers would have a lower return rate under a privatized system than under the standard system of generational equity.

There is no question that any way you slice it, reforms to the current generational equity system are crucial. However, privatization may or may not be the solution. Those are the facts. You decide.

For more cons of privatization, please visit the complete listing here.
