Even Girls Can Swing As Hard as the Dudes – All the Time!

If you were a jogger, you might train before ever going out to compete against others. If you were a person who swims, you will swim hundreds of thousands of laps before competing another swimmer. But the same is usually not true for most golfers. For golfers, practice usually doesn’t take place. Duffers may warm up before a round, but is about it.

The best golf training is not done out on the golf course, and it is not always done on the driving range either. But, that isn’t to say that there are not good things made on the fairway and tees.

You can figure out your game, learn your weaknesses and strengths, and view how you perform under heat. On the practice range, you can work on grooving your swing and figure out how far you can hit each iron. Even on the putting green, you can work on your touch and your capability to determine a feel or read the grass.

Alas, the best golf practice may take place in the weight room. The sport of golf may seem like an easy sport, but it uses many aspects of overall fitness. One’s aerobic capacity is vital for the amount of walking that occurs over a few hours. The average course is almost four miles long, and a round of golf means a lot of mileage on the feet.

Strength is also very important because of the many, many times you will swing the club during one round. Even if you are shooting 80 or less, you are still swinging that club over 200 times in a day. You will require a lot of power to swing without pain or failing in the swing.

Good golf training really should start in the fitness center. Improve your aerobic capacity and physical strength and you will witness an incredible improvement in your rounds.
