After our wildly popular satirical post on “What To Name Cowboys Stadium“, we noticed a large number of visitors looking for information about Jerry Jones and his private jet. The questions about Jerry Jones’ private jet ranged from:
- Does Jerry Jones have a private jet?
- What kind of airplane is Jerry Jones’ private jet?
- Where does Jerry Jones park his private jet?
- Where is Jerry Jones now in his private jet?
So, I went out and did a little hunting on the topic and here is what I found.
YES, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones does have a private jet. Mr. Jones ownes a Gulfstream Aerospace G-V (N1DC). Photographer Michael Davis has a beautiful shot on his Flickr account.
And per an online tracker that can be found on the Cowboy’s Zone website, it is pretty obvious he parks his plane at Love Field and you can actually keep up with where he is going?
Beyond that, there isn’t much more information on the topic. Still, it does go to show the power of the Internet as a true Cowboys fan would keep up with Dallas Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones’ flight activities as it could provide insight on trades and of course their normal two year rotation of head coaches!
More on the Gulfstream G5
The Gulfstream V, referred to as a G-V (G5), was certified for flight in 1997 and is considered an “ultra-long range” business aircraft. Depending on cabin configurations, the G5 has a max capacity of 16 people. It is capable of flying 7,480 miles.
I could not find any interior pictures of the Cowboys owner’s Gulfstream business jet. Still, with having business ranging from coast to coast and in foreign countries, you can rest assured that the aircraft gets its use by Mr. Jones.
