So, are bloggers marketers.?

Let’s fill out the external keyword tool box. If you run “blogger” in it, it’ll give you 24.9M results in the Global Monthly Searches. “Marketer” on the other hand will display 246T only. It’s too skewed, for blogger could have brought in millions of searches due to the blogger’s definition of it being a blogging machinery created by Pyra Labs that was brought by Google in 2003. Let’s do away from that definition of a blogger so let’s put an “s” ending on each. Bloggers would then have 1M vs. Marketers with the same Global Monthly Searches. Let’s further drill down our Marketers to being Internet Marketers (GMS of 18,100).

Looking at these numbers, one may conclude that it’s better to blog than to do internet marketing. Does that also imply that bloggers earn much better than internet marketers? Let’s revisit how incomes are made by both. Let’s just hit 5 from each, though there are a lot more.
Bloggers generally earn through the following:

1.	Google Adsense – text or image classified ads run by Google. Once you get approved, you can paste the corresponding codes to your site. The more site visitors you have, the more clicks will possibly be generated.

2.	Affiliate Links – promoting others’ products. You can promote products from Clickbank, Amazon Associates, Ebay Parner Network, Linkshare, Commission Junction, etc. Commissions vary (as high as 75% in Clickbank), depending on the related products. But don’t run them together with Adsense. Google can suspend your Adsense account anytime without prior notices.

3.	Your own products – ebooks or video tutorials. If you have something of real value, you can sell them to your list later on. Some start with PLR’s and rebrand them as their own, yet some do it from scratch. You can either have ebooks, video tutorials, audio CD’s, software, etc.

4.	Banner Ads – this is normally a fixed source of income for bloggers as sponsors pay for their ad spaces accordingly. This doesn’t happen though if you blog is new and has few followers.

5.	Brokering ads to connect advertisers and publishers – I’ve seen bloggers use buysellads.com and text-link-ads.com to their advantage. You can find them interesting as well. But then again, you have to go through them and get accustomed to their systems.

Internet Marketers have these ways of income generating methods (not necessarily in order):

1.	Building websites for others – whether online or offline business, some marketers create or help others create websites for their businesses. Some create websites to be later on sold as ten or a hundred times higher.

2.	Membership sites. Many membership sites are successful in targeting specific audiences simply because they have over-delivered. The freebies are not garbage, the webinars, one-on-one coaching and video tutorials are genuinely essential.

3.	Own products – either marketer create a one-page site through Kompozer, Dreamweaver or any HTML editor or a multiple-page blog, if the sole purpose is to sell products whether they are ebooks, video tutorials or brandable software, they can earn even asleep.

4.	Affiliate Marketing – promoting products of others through product reviews or blogging

5.	Email Marketing – Using the power of auto responders, related emails are sent to those who opted in to their sites in exchange of free gifts. Others use the power of video marketing to emphasize some points. Offers and upsells could happen in one of those email blasts on a later date.

Does that imply then that bloggers earn more money online than Internet Marketers? NOT NECESSARILY! It really depends on what you do with your site. You can either sell services or products, but they must be of best value.

So going back to the question.are bloggers marketers? In my own opinion, YES! Contents though are king. And that’s what you should care about the most.

Jojo hailed from Cagayan de Oro City but now resides in Cebu, Philippines.

He created www.filblogger.com to address the technical and commercial issues of newcomers in Internet Marketing by providing quality contents including a lot of “how to’s” in his blog.

While dealing with someone, if you are spending too much time planning in detail so that basic things can get done. And if you don’t put in this much effort, work does not get done, you are dealing with an unprofessional and incompetent person. If you think this is how professionals are – you are mistaken. A professional will take pride in doing good work and serving the customer. Someone who makes it difficult to do business with is not a professional but he is out to maximize the income at the cost of their customers. If they are not serving the customer, then they are pursuing a hobby, not a profession.

A professional will do work that is difficult for others but easy for them. A professional will figure out the routine activities and figure out a system /method to do that very accurately and quickly. Once a great artist drew a beautiful portrait of a woman in 15 minutes and charged certain amount. The lady pointed out that the amount is too high since it took only 15 minutes to do the portrait. The artist replied, “Madam, It took me 15 years of effort to be able to do this in 15 minutes”.

Unprofessional behavior is probably one of the biggest reasons for business failure. An unprofessional can only do business when he is in a monopoly situation or there is acute shortage of people. Both these situations are unlikely to last for long in a typical work life of a person. Even among the blue-collar workforce, such as the Detroit Auto Industry workers, if the focus is on financial benefits at the cost of satisfying a customer, they have to face hard and difficult times. A business exists by a primary cause of serving a customer. When an unprofessional employee shortchanges the customer often, the business has to pay the penalty.

An unprofessional exhibits other key characteristics. They are not knowledgeable in their area or they advise something but the facts are different. In the later case, they knowingly cause you harm. This is the ‘expertise’ side of unprofessionalism.

Another aspect is the attitude part which is – ‘I don’t care for you the customer. First let me take care of all my needs and then I will think about you.’ This has already been covered in detail earlier. An attitude is a deep-rooted behavior that is difficult to change. Another aspect of unprofessionalism is to antagonize/harass a customer who is disengaging their service. When a customer wants to part ways, it means he does not believe that the person is adding value. Whatever the reason maybe, any disengagement hints- things are not going in the right direction!

It is important to recognize these negative behaviors while dealing with service providers as early as possible. Especially, figuring out ahead if a person or service provider is unprofessional can greatly save time, frustration, and money later.

Many unprofessional people look attractive, talk and dress well and have fancy offices. Don’t mistake appearances for professionalism, as some professionals may not look and dress well besides they may be very modest and simple. However, they could actually turnout to be very competent in their area of expertise and genuinely care for their customers’ well being.

There are many technologies emerging in display devices like TVs. Every technology excels in particular feature of display and has particular method of display. Different technologies used in TVs are:

LCD TV:
LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) televisions are thinner and lighter and provide much sharper and clearer picture than CRTs of similar size. They are ideally used for cell phone displays, computer monitors, and to view still images.
· LCD TVs have a flat screen so there will be no picture distortion and don’t have screen “burn in” like curved tube TVs.
· In general, LCD viewing angle is 175 degrees. The picture can be viewed 87 degrees from each side.
· LCD TVs are very economical to use and screens less than 35 are fairly inexpensive.
· LCD TVs are backlit and blocks outside light. So, they are suitable for natural lighting situations.
· Most LCD TVs have a half lifespan (50% of original brightness) of over 30,000 hours (16 years of viewing at 6 hours per day).
LCD sizes generally range from 13 to 65 but some manufacturer will offer up to 100 sizes.

Plasma TV:
A Plasma Display Panel (PDP) is a flat panel display used in large TV displays. They have better and accurate color generation than LCDs, and with far display, wider viewing angles, and do not experience degradation at high angles compared to LCD. Plasma displays are ideal for viewing motion video in large displays.

· Plasma screen sizes generally ranges from 32 to 84 but some offer screen sizes up to 100.
· Plasma pixel, technology provides a brighter picture with more contrast between the blacks and whites than standard TV.
· In general, plasma TVs viewing angle is 160 to 180 degrees and picture can be viewed from any angle.
· On an average, Plasma TVs have a half lifespan (50% of brightness) of 50,000 to 70,000 hours (20 years of viewing 6 hours a day to 50,000 hours).
Some plasma TVs are provided with upgradeable video cards that helps to match with future technology.

HDTV:
HDTV or High-Definition Television is a digital television broadcasting system offering a higher resolution compared to regular television systems. HDTV is digitally broadcast unlike earlier analog broadcasting, because digital television (DTV) signals require reduced bandwidth because of digital video compression.

HDTV will not have standard TV problems, like low quality sharpness, troubles with brightness or contrast, spots, other visual, or audio imperfections, problems like double images (ghosting), and weak signals. HD television provides clearer pictures with excellent sound quality, a wider viewing screen and up-to-date scanning. HDTV will provide more and superior channels provided by regular satellite or cable television with theater system experience.

LED TV:
LED (Light Emitting Diode) TV is an LCD TV that uses LEDs for back lighting, instead of using the fluorescent lights (as it creates more black spots). They are ideally used for low-energy indicators, as substitutes for traditional light sources in general lighting and automotive lighting.
· LED TV currently costs more than a standard LCD or plasma TV.
· LED TV has got great looks and very easy to Install.
· Edge-lit LED television will consume 30-40% of less power than LCD or plasma TV. But backlit LEDs will consume more power.
· Brighter picture can be viewed with LED television compared to a standard LCD TV.
· LED TV that is backlit, with local dimming and RGB LEDs, will have an enhanced picture and better contrast ratio and colour accuracy compared to standard LCD TV.
It has a long lasting life and also eco friendly.

OLED TVs:
OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) TVs depend on light emitting polymer technology. Its features including,
· In OLED TVs, there is no need for backlights or extra heaters or coolers, so there is less power consumption.
· As OLED materials has the capacity to support full spectrum of visible light, so there will be higher contrast and it has high-speed refresh rates.
· OLEDs are much faster than LCDs. Fast motion and quick eye movement pictures are more realistic. And OLED TVs will make virtual images to look realistic and can be viewed easily for longer periods.
· It has larger viewing angle and for near-eye applications, it provides more pleasant viewing without distortion.
One disadvantage with OLED TVs is the limited lifespan of the organic materials used in its manufacturing. In addition, blue light degrades quickly with a lifespan of 14,000 hours (when used 8 hours per day for five years) on flat-panel displays.

Before purchasing a television, know the difference between each technology and purchase the one, which has your desired features and suits your budget.

Internet banking also known as Online banking or e-banking is one of the most recent technological innovations, which is becoming a need for every common man. It uses Internet as a medium for delivery banking services. Today, banking is not limited to branches, where a person goes to bank for withdrawal of cash or request a statement of accounts or to deposit a check. An inquiry or transaction can be handled online without any reference to the branch any time through Internet Banking. Secure website on which online transactions are carried out is managed by virtual bank (no branch network).

Mainly, there are three types of Internet banking.

· Informational banking: This is primary (basic) level of Internet Banking used to know the information of bank’s products and services.
· Communicative banking: In this type of Internet banking some communication (interaction) is possible between bank’s system and customer through email to know account details (statements), loan applications and to update static files (name and address changes).
· Transactional banking: This level of Internet banking helps in performing transactions like accessing account, paying bills, transferring funds, etc.

Benefits of Internet banking:
Internet Banking provides benefits to both banking systems and customers
· Fast: Normal banking is slow and time consuming, as customer needs to wait in tiresome queue for request of statement or transaction. But in Internet banking transfer of money (funds) from one account and other can be done in minutes.
· Convenient: Customers can access many accounts in a bank efficiently. They can carry out financial transactions comfortably from home, if they have Internet.
· Cost effective: Bank can handle thousands of customers at a time through Internet Banking. The administrative (official) work of bank can be reduced highly as bank operations can be performed by less number of cashiers and clerks.
· All time accessibility: Bank account can be accessed any time (24 hours of a day and 7 days of a week) and from anywhere (at any location). Customers can easily transfer money from their accounts or receive money in their accounts electronically. Acceptability of digital signatures in all banks is of great advantage.
· Flexibility: Customers can easily apply for loan and get it without going to local bank. Bank accounts can be used to buy or sell stocks and securities through Internet banking. Without any paper work and without visiting bank, new accounts can be created and old accounts can be closed through Online.

Disadvantages of Internet banking:
Though Internet banking is very helpful for users, it has certain disadvantages.
· Security: If customers are not careful, then computer hackers can easily hack the account information for unauthorized use.
· Identification: It is an inconvenience for customers if asked for photo identification.
· Customer service: As there is no face-to-face interaction with bank employee and account holder, when problem arises, often there may be slow response as mail is used to discuss about the problem.
· Internet accessibility: If the Internet goes down at the customers end or at the banking office, then account cannot be accessed.

In order to have safe and secure Internet banking, customers should maintain their computers high secured and should not reveal any personal information like password, user name and pin number to anyone. This can avoid risk of scams and fraud to a large extent. When security procedures are taken care, Internet banking is easier, faster, and pleasant to both customers and bankers.

The Nobel Prize is an international award administered by the Nobel Foundation in Sweden. This award was established by the will of Alfred Nobel, a Swedish chemist, and inventor. The Nobel Prize was first awarded in 1901 for achievements in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature and Peace. Sveriges Riksbank, in memory of Alfred Nobel established an associated award in Economics in 1968.

The Nobel Prize is widely regarded as the most prestigious award one can receive in their respective fields. The Nobel Prize consists of a document confirming the prize amount, a Nobel Prize medal, and a personal diploma.

How the Nobel Prize materialized
Alfred Nobel was a Swedish scientist, industrialist, author, pacifist, and inventor of the high explosive dynamite. He obtained a patent for Dynamite in 1867 as an industrial explosive. He earned a lot of money through the explosives business. His invention (dynamites) was later used in wars, which spread a lot of violence and killed many people. So to reciprocate this, he established the Peace Prize. It is believed that Bertha von Suttner, Alfred Nobel’s secretary, also influenced his interest in a donation to the promotion of world peace. It was a great international sensation when his 1895 will disclosed that Alfred Nobel established a special peace prize, as his name was always connected with explosives and inventions useful in the war and not with peace.

The Nobel Prize has been honoring outstanding achievers in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Medicine or Physiology, Literature and who work for peace since 1901. In the will, he bequeathed 94% of his total assets to establish and upkeep the five Nobel Prizes. It took five years to establish the Nobel Foundation and the first prizes were awarded on 10th December 1901.

Nomination and selection process
The nomination and selection process for the Nobel Prize is long and rigorous compared to other prizes. This is one of the key reasons for the Nobel Prize to become so popular and important one.

In the first stage, the respective Nobel Committees send thousands of individual invitations to members of academies, university professors, scientists from different countries, members of parliamentary assemblies, previous Nobel Laureates, and others asking them to nominate candidates for the coming year. Later, these names are thoroughly scrutinized and discussed by experts in their specific fields and vote for a winner.

The concerned Nobel Prize awarder holds a press conference immediately after the voting and announces the Nobel Laureates and the Laureates in Economic Sciences for the year.

Fields in which the prizes are awarded
The Nobel Prize is awarded to the outstanding performers in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, Economic Sciences and for the Peace. Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences selects the Nobel Laureates in Physics, Chemistry, and Economic Sciences and awards the prizes. Karolinska Institute selects the Laureates and awards the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. The award in Literature is given by the Swedish academy. A Committee of five persons elected by the Norwegian Parliament awards Nobel Peace Prize.

The Nobel Prizes and the Prize in Economics, except the Nobel Peace Prize are presented at the annual Prize Award Ceremony on 10th December, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death, in Stockholm, Sweden. The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo, Norway on the same day.
